FAQ - An existing work instruction needs to be cancelled, or a new one created - How do we create or add AND assign a new work instruction?

Manual - Create a new work instruction (Trax Admin Users only)

  1. Click Config
  2. Click Work Instruction Templates
  3. Click Green “+” (bottom RHS)
  4. Create Work Instruction manually (steps, position, response type)
  5. When finished drop down from “Draft” to “Approved” and Click the “Tick” (top RHS)

If required

  1. Assign a backfill PDF
  2. Assign to an asset
  3. Assign to a Event / Team / Shift

Bulk Upload - Create a new work instruction (Trax Admin Users only)

  1. Create Spreadsheet for work instruction in excel
  2. Click “Config”
  3. Click “Bulk import”
  4. Click “Work Instruction”
  5. Select the Excel File
  6. Configure the Title and Description

If required

  1. Assign a backfill PDF
  2. Assign to an asset
  3. Assign to a Event / Team / Shift

FAQ - How do I cancel a Work Instruction ?

Work instructions can be cancelled from the 3 dot menu in the top right of the work instruction.

Cancelling a work instruction will:

  1. Show the cancelled label next to the title
  2. Add a “CANCELLED” watermark to the backfilled PDF
  3. Remove the work instruction hours from the progress tracking

FAQ - Somebody can’t login what do I do ?

  1. From the device login screen - Click Forgot Password and enter the account email address
  2. If the person gets the reset email, completes the step
  3. if the above doesn’t work, check login on the web link. https://trax.res.app
  4. If the above does not work flag an email to support@res.app: include in the email the Trax User name, Email and the login issue experienced, we will be in touch.

FAQ - How do I export the backfilled PDFs ?

Progressively during the event these should be downloaded and saved the WI’s

  1. Click “Config”
  2. Click “Bulk Exports”
  3. Click “Backfilled Work Instructions”
  4. Wait for the progress bar to complete
  5. Additionally consider bulk exporting Work Instructions which will provide a list of each

FAQ - The Trax App crashed (or closed unexpectedly) what do i do ?

  1. Re-Open the app on the device
  2. If the crash occurs again - log out and log back in
  3. If the crash occurs again - delete the app and download it again on the device
  4. If the crash occurs again - try the same task on another device
  5. If the crash occurs again - record the screen of the crash occurring and email it to support@res.app with a description and the RES team will try and fault find it.

FAQ - A new Design mod (PDF Drawing) is released how can i add this in the app ?

  1. Click documents
  2. Click “Add Design Pack”
  3. Create a new Design Pack (Could be called “Design mods - Event XYZ”)
  4. Click newly created design pack
  5. Click “Upload Design” Bottom
  6. Enter details and select the PDF file from the computer
  7. Possible to link a design to an issue from this page.
